5 Star Hotel Lucca - Ambience
Hotel Locanda l'Elisa is an elegant Italian Villa which was probably restored by a Napoleonic officer who came to Lucca serving Elisa Baciocchi. Traces of this intervention have been identified in the colors and decorations of the Villa and have been found partially beneath the existing plaster and decoration and in some building materials (parts of interior fixtures and wood paneling) found in our garden.
In 1992 Hotel Locanda l'Elisa opened to the country-loving guest; our Hotel was thought out to fully enjoy the lovely, small privileges of countryside living and yet take full advantage of being a few minutes (by car) from the historic center of Lucca.
Were have created ten rooms and living rooms furnished with 1800’s fabrics and carpets, taken from cartoons of that time, along with woodwork and fixtures taken from motifs found on site and made by artisans of great value.
The Hotel surrounding has been completely transformed into a garden full of shrubs, flowers, water plants; a small babbling brook crosses our garden which is enriched by a pool of irregular shape (following terrain’s gaits) that blends perfectly with the landscape.
On the end of the pool was built a small wooden gazebo, a meeting place for cocktails, reading and rest.
Guests of the restaurant "Gazebo" can enjoy a top-quality cuisine that comes from new combinations for old flavors and traditional dishes of Tuscany cuisine. Great service and excellent selection of wines will accompany each dish.
For the dining room we used a Victorian era Conservatory; a semicircular window perfectly frames the room and allows you to taste every dish that the chef proposes in a romantic atmosphere, completely surrounded by flowers and lush garden.
